An Amazing Friend

Now when Job's the friends heard of all the evil that was come upon him, they can't every one from his own place: El'i-phaz the Te'manite, and Bildad the Shu'hite, and Zo'phar the Na'a-math-ite: for that had made an appointment to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. Job 2:11
It took me being homeless to find a front like this.
Throughout my life, I have been the quiet, shy one. Friends were hard to find. However, since I became homeless, there isn't a time that I am without someone to talk to.

Surprisingly, these homeless people are nice. Oftentimes, nicer than those that are helping us.

In my first showcase, I want to tell you about

An Amazing Man

A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24

Red has taking it upon himself to help others. God works through him daily.

He sleeps under the bridge close to the mission that I stay at and works daily painting others houses. However, that doesn't stop him from his mission of sharing his knowledge and wisdom with those he meets.

This man has given me so much hope for not only my future but for those that I call friend.

Red's Perspective - Homeless People Living Under The Bridge

Red wrote this for me to share here.

While a group of people who came together as one to protect each other in their time of need. Who look out for one another, give each other strength, and encourage each other in God.
There is a better day for each of them.
We go out every day, trampling through the streets of New Orleans in hopes of finding a job, a home while surrounded by people under the influence of drugs and alcohol -- yes, there are a few of those.
Often, it seems that the government has forgotten us. So, we congregate together and talk to relieve our ordeal.

I have shared just a portion of this man's words so you can understand his perspective.
