Sad About Not Being Homeless?

It happened. I now have a place to stay. My parents are helping me. I will be staying in their camper trailer.

Is it normal that I feel sad?

There is so much that I once took for granted that I am grateful to have back.

The Predator and The Prey

There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and the jaw teeth knives, to devour the poor from of the Earth, and the needy from amount men. Proverbs 30: 14

So far, from my post and site, you may believe that being homeless is not that bad. Remember, I am an optimist. I have to think that things will be ok. However, their is a negative side to it that can be horrible.

Every day, you have to be on the look out for the predators. Like all predators, these two legged animals search out for the weak and the vulnerable.

Today, I will tell you a story about one such person.

Redeeming The Sinners

"And Jesus answering said unto them. They that are whole need not a physician: but they that are sick.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Luke: 5: 31, 32

Last week, I told you about a man that is serving God in his way. However, there is another side of living on the streets. The addicts that Satan has led astray.

Many people would and do write them off. They are not worth the time and trouble, they would say. However, Jesus would disagree -- as you can see in the above verses.

I could work for just those that are whole. However, the Christian thing to do is to care for them all.

Thank God for My Contrary Nature

I thank God for the New Orleans mission. They gave me shelter and food for 21 days. Also, they helped me to rediscover Jesus.

While I do not agree with many of their ideals, I appreciate God sending them in my way. Every day, in order to have a bed and eat, we had to go to Chapel.

Me, being my contrary self, listened to their interpretation of the Bible and was unable to reconcile it from what I remembered. Therefore, I grabbed a Bible and started reading.

An Amazing Friend

Now when Job's the friends heard of all the evil that was come upon him, they can't every one from his own place: El'i-phaz the Te'manite, and Bildad the Shu'hite, and Zo'phar the Na'a-math-ite: for that had made an appointment to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. Job 2:11
It took me being homeless to find a front like this.
Throughout my life, I have been the quiet, shy one. Friends were hard to find. However, since I became homeless, there isn't a time that I am without someone to talk to.

Surprisingly, these homeless people are nice. Oftentimes, nicer than those that are helping us.

In my first showcase, I want to tell you about
