Redeeming The Sinners

"And Jesus answering said unto them. They that are whole need not a physician: but they that are sick.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Luke: 5: 31, 32

Last week, I told you about a man that is serving God in his way. However, there is another side of living on the streets. The addicts that Satan has led astray.

Many people would and do write them off. They are not worth the time and trouble, they would say. However, Jesus would disagree -- as you can see in the above verses.

I could work for just those that are whole. However, the Christian thing to do is to care for them all.

For Example

A young man came and sat with me today. This person is one that I know is a crack head.

He was angry, full of anger at the world, his wife, and so much more. He wanted advice. It seems that my reputation of listening I'd getting around. Thank you Jesus.

God sent him to me. I just pray that I served His Purpose.

We talked -- more like he yelled and cursed. Throughout his tirade, I listened calmly. I talked to him about God and I learned that he had found him during an earlier rehabilitation.

He had even helped others through this difficult journey. Satan is strong and used every weapon he can find. In this man, it was the drugs.

We discussed counseling for both him and his wife. I even shared some of my own story, as well.

As he was walking away, he thanked me for listening and promised to go to rehab.

Will he? It has been 3 days since I wrote this story, that young man is still under the bridge and giving into Satan. I can only pray he does.

Serving The Sinners

"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the ordered presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.". Luke: 15: 10

He is not the first addict that I shared this advice with. He won't be the last. God didn't give me an easy Mission but it is worthy of Him.

I, having never did most drugs -- I will admit to marinara and I did inhale -- find myself dealing with some serious addictions through the people I have been called to help. Thank God for helping me through these times.

If just one find his way to God through me than I have served Him

I am in no means a counselor. However, I can be someone that listens and shares what resources I have found.
